05Naming

How Kling models are named

Version numbers

Each step — 2.1, 2.5, 2.6, 3.0, 4.0 — is a new generation of Kling AI models from Kuaishou. Newer usually means better motion and a higher price per second, but older generations stay on the API because they are cheap and predictable.

Standard, Pro and Master

Inside a generation, Standard means 720p and Pro means 1080p at a higher price per second; Kling 3.0 adds a native 4K tier. Master was a premium tier in the 2.0 and 2.1 generations; newer Kling models use Standard, Pro and 4K instead.

Turbo and Flash

Turbo marks a faster variant of a generation (2.5 Turbo, 3.0 Turbo). Flash is the fast tier of the 4.0 family, currently in early access inside Kling’s own app only.

Omni: O1 and 3.0 Omni

Omni models take reference images or video plus an instruction, for consistent characters and text-driven edits. Kling 3.0 Omni, which some sites call O3, runs our photo effect templates here; Kling O1, the first Omni model, is not available here yet.

Motion Control, Lip Sync and Avatar

Motion Control (2.6 and 3.0) copies movement from a reference clip onto your photo, and it runs here today on its own page. Lip Sync, which matches a mouth to audio, and Kling Avatar 2.0, which turns one portrait and a voice track into a talking video, are not available here yet. All three are tools built on Kling AI models rather than models of their own, so they are not in this list.

Retired versions

The retired Kling AI models — 1.0, 1.5, 1.6 and 2.0 Master — are not offered here. They appear on the timeline for context only and can’t be selected.

07Method

How we keep this list honest

  • Specs come from Kling’s release notes and API documentation, last checked October 3, 2026; what runs here was updated October 15, 2026.
  • Prices come straight from our live price list — the same numbers the generator charges.
  • Kling AI models we can’t run yet — Kling 4.0 and 4.0 Flash, which have no public API, and Kling O1 — are marked coming soon and can’t be rendered.
  • We don’t publish star ratings or quality scores. When we compare Kling AI models, we show the prompts, settings and date.
FAQ

Kling AI models FAQ

01How many Kling AI models are there?
Counting major releases, Kuaishou has shipped Kling 1.0, 1.5, 1.6, 2.0 Master, 2.1, 2.5 Turbo, O1, 2.6 and the 3.0 family since June 2024, and announced Kling 4.0 and 4.0 Flash in September 2026. PictureToVideo runs 6 Kling AI models today: 3.0, 3.0 Turbo, 3.0 Omni, 2.6, 2.5 Turbo and 2.1 (beta).
02What is the newest Kling AI model?
Kling 4.0, announced on September 27–28, 2026 for an October release. Its Flash tier is in early access inside Kling’s app, but neither has a public API yet. The newest Kling AI models you can use through an API — and on this site — are the 3.0 family, including 3.0 Turbo.
03Which of the Kling AI models is the cheapest?
Kling 2.1 Standard, at 4 credits per second, is the cheapest, but it is in beta here and needs a start image. Kling 2.5 Turbo, at 6 credits per second at 1080p, is the cheapest Kling out of beta — our Draft tier.
04Which Kling AI models generate sound?
Kling 2.6, Kling 3.0 and Kling 3.0 Omni can add native audio — voices, effects and ambience — for a higher price per second, and Kling 3.0 Turbo always renders with sound. Kling O1, 2.5 Turbo and 2.1 are silent. Kling 4.0 has been announced with stereo audio and tighter lip sync.
05Can I switch Kling models between renders?
Yes. One PictureToVideo balance works across all Kling AI models and every other model and tool, so you can draft on 2.5 Turbo, finish on 3.0 and extend the result without changing plans. Each render is priced by its own model, resolution and length, and the generator shows the exact credits before you click Generate.
06Where does Kling 3.0 Omni (O3) fit in?
Kling 3.0 Omni, which many sites call O3, is the reference model of the 3.0 family and the successor to Kling O1. Here it powers our photo effect templates: upload two photos and it puts both people into a ready-made scene with native sound, from 13 credits per second. Kling O1 is not available here yet.
07Is this an official list of Kling AI models?
No. It’s an independent, unofficial guide written by PictureToVideo, a studio that runs Kling, Veo, Wan, Hailuo and Grok Imagine models through their APIs and isn’t affiliated with Kuaishou or Kling AI. Release dates and specs come from public announcements; prices are our own credits, not Kling’s membership prices.
