03Photo tips

Photo tips for AI dancing that looks real

Kling Motion Control maps the template dancer’s skeleton onto the body in your photo. The clearer that body is, the more natural the AI dance video looks.

People

Stand facing the camera with your arms slightly away from your body and your feet in frame, against a plain wall. Everyday fitted clothes beat long coats and wide sleeves, which hide the elbows and knees a dance needs. Phone portrait shots are perfect — just switch off heavy beauty filters.

Pets

Animals dance best photographed standing or sitting upright with every paw visible. Cats and dogs need different photos and gentler dances, so each has its own guide: the cat and dog pages rank the templates for your pet’s pose, coat and build.

Cartoons, drawings and toys

Characters with a clear head, torso, two arms and two legs make the best AI dance video. Flat illustrations, 3D figures and plush toys are all fine — place them on a simple background so the model knows exactly where the body ends.

Light and background

Daylight from a window, or a soft lamp in front of the dancer, keeps the face stable through turns. Busy backgrounds with posters, mirrors or other people invite the model to move things that should stay still.

04Troubleshooting

Why an AI dance video can look glitchy

Most glitches in an AI dance video trace back to the photo, not the template. Here are the four we see most, and how to fix each one.

Melting hands or feet

The limbs were cropped or hidden in the photo, so the model had to invent them mid-move. Re-shoot head to toe, or pick a template with less footwork.

The face changes in a spin

Turns are hard on identity. Use even front light and a sharp photo of at least 720 pixels on the short side, or re-render on Motion Control 3.0, which holds faces better.

The wrong thing moves

Two people, a mirror or a poster with a face can confuse which body to animate. Crop to one character before uploading.

Tiny, stiff motion

Landscape photos make the dancer small. Crop to portrait so the body fills most of the frame — the photo checker above flags this before you spend a single credit.

06Price per dance

AI dance video pricing, per dance

Motion Control output follows the template, so each AI dance video has a fixed length and a fixed price before you render. The last column shows how many of that dance a $9.90 pack of 680 credits covers on Motion Control 2.6.

From AI dance video to Reels and TikTok

A finished AI dance video is a few taps away from a post. Three habits keep it looking sharp and keep your account in good standing.

    + Push in+ Orbit+ Tracking

    Start from a portrait photo

Upload an upright, head-to-toe portrait photo, so the dancer fills a phone screen without cropping the feet off later.

    Add music you may use

Templates are silent on purpose. Add a licensed sound inside TikTok, Instagram or Shorts — or a track you own — and nudge the clip so the moves land on the beat.

    Label it as AI

Switch on the platform’s AI-generated label, especially when a real person appears. Honest labels keep viewers in the loop and your posts up.

08Safety

Family-friendly by design

  • Only wholesome dances — no twerking and no suggestive routines, now or later.
  • Only the character in your photo dances — the template lends its moves, never its dancer.
  • Use photos of yourself or of people who agreed. No celebrities or public figures.
  • Children only from their own parent or guardian, after the checklist on the AI baby dance page.
  • Prompts are screened, the video model applies its own safety filters, and every upload must follow our content policy; violations close the account.
  • Silent, original templates mean no copyright claims on the dance itself.
FAQ

AI Dance Video Generator FAQ

Still curious? Email support@picturetovideo.org — a human replies within a day.

01Is there a free AI dance video generator?
Browsing dances, filtering them and running the photo checker are free and need no account. Rendering is paid: the shortest dances run 8 seconds and cost 64 credits each on Motion Control 2.6. There is no free tier, so dances need credits from a pack or a plan.
02How do I make the raindance AI trend video?
Load the Rain dance template above, add a full-body portrait photo of yourself or a cartoon character, and render the AI dance video. The routine is our own — open arms and slow twirls in the rain — and the clip is silent: the song the trend is known for is not included, so add music you have the rights to inside TikTok, Instagram or Shorts.
03What is the gas station dance trend?
A short viral dance filmed on a petrol station forecourt: side steps, a hip pop and big arm loops. Our Gas station dance template is an original, family-friendly take on the format with no music, so you can make the trend video from one photo without copying anyone’s choreography.
04Which AI model makes the AI dance video?
Kling Motion Control 2.6 or 3.0, run through an API. Motion control copies a reference clip move by move. PictureToVideo also runs Veo 3.1, Wan 2.5 and Hailuo 02, but those animate a photo from a text prompt: they can make someone sway or wave, not follow a choreographed routine.
05Will a cartoon, drawing or toy work?
Usually, as long as the character has a readable body: a head, a torso, two arms and two legs. 3D renders, flat illustrations, plush toys and action figures all work. Show the full figure on a plain background; abstract shapes or characters without limbs give the model nothing to animate.
06Can two people dance together in one photo?
Not reliably. Motion Control maps the one dancer in a template onto one character in your photo, so a group shot makes it guess who should move, and faces can swap or merge. Crop to a single person, render each friend separately, then place the clips side by side in an editor.
07Can I add a song to my AI dance video?
Yes, after rendering. Templates are silent, so your result is silent and free of music rights issues. Add a track you own, or a licensed sound inside TikTok, Instagram or YouTube Shorts, then trim the clip so the moves land on the beat. Unlicensed songs can get videos muted.
08Does the photo checker upload my picture?
No. The checker reads your photo’s pixel size, shape and brightness inside your browser with the canvas API, so nothing leaves your device while you check. The photo is uploaded only when you press Generate, and only to make that AI dance video. You can test it with our sample photos first.
09What makes a viral AI dance video?
Short, vertical and easy to read: one person filling a 9:16 frame, a move that lands in the first second, and a sound you have the rights to. Every template here runs 8–10 seconds, short enough to loop. Label the post as AI-made — platforms ask for it, and viewers trust it more.
10Who runs this AI dance generator?
PictureToVideo, an independent studio. We are not Kuaishou or Kling AI and are not affiliated with them; we run Kling’s Motion Control models through an API provider and add our own dance templates, prompt screening and billing. Because the templates are ours, every routine is original choreography.
