When to step up to 3.0

Kling describes Motion Control 3.0 as better at keeping faces consistent. Start on 2.6 for simple dances and gestures, and move up if the face drifts.

042.6 vs 3.0

Kling 2.6 vs 3.0

Kling 3.0 is newer and does more: up to 15 seconds, six shots, 4K and dialogue in five languages. Version 2.6 is cheaper per second at 1080p when the clip is silent. Set up your clip and see which one costs less.

Kling 3.0 resolution

Version 2.6 renders 1080p only, in 5- or 10-second clips. Kling 3.0 4K costs the same with or without audio.

Short spoken moments
Dialogue

Short spoken moments

A single line, a whispered reaction, a laugh — rendered with lip-synced voice in the same pass as the picture.

07Audio prompts

Prompting for native audio

Quote the dialogue

Write spoken lines in quotation marks and attach them to a character: the woman leans in and says, “You kept the receipt?” Keep each clip to one or two short lines.

Name the sounds

List the effects you want in the order they happen — a door creak, footsteps, a kettle whistle — so the audio can follow the action Kling draws.

Set the room tone

One phrase of ambience, such as rain on glass, a busy café or wind in the pines, fills the background for the whole clip and makes the sound feel recorded rather than added.

Turn it off when you’ll score it

If music and effects will be added in the edit anyway, render silent for 8 credits per second instead of 16. Audio is a choice per clip, not a setting you are locked into.

FAQ

Kling 2.6 AI Video Generator FAQ

Still curious? Email support@picturetovideo.org — a human replies within a day.

01When was Kling 2.6 released?
Kling AI released Video 2.6 on December 3, 2025, two days after Kling O1. It was the first Kling model to render picture and sound in one pass. Kling 3.0 followed in February 2026, but 2.6 is still offered through Kling’s API, which is why you can still run it here.
02What is special about Kling 2.6 native audio?
Earlier Kling models produced silent clips, so sound had to be added afterwards. This version generates voices, sound effects and ambience together with the video, timed to what happens on screen. It also introduced 2.6 Motion Control, which became one of the most popular Kling features for dance and action clips.
03Kling 2.6 vs Kling 3.0: which should I use?
Use Kling 3.0 when you need more than 10 seconds, several shots in one clip, 4K or dialogue in five languages. Use 2.6 for silent 1080p clips, where it costs 8 credits per second against 13 for 3.0, and for budget motion control. With audio on, Kling 3.0 at 720p (14 credits per second) can be the cheaper of the two.
04How long can a 2.6 video be?
On our generator, it renders clips of 5 or 10 seconds; there are no in-between lengths. To go longer, extend a clip from its last frame or join several clips in an editor. If you need a precise length such as 7 or 12 seconds in a single generation, Kling 3.0 accepts any whole number from 3 to 15.
05What is Kling 2.6 Motion Control?
A separate 2.6 mode that transfers the movement in a reference video onto the character in your photo. Reference clips can run up to 30 seconds when the character follows the video’s orientation, or 10 seconds when it follows the image. On PictureToVideo it costs 8 credits per second at 720p and 13 at 1080p.
06How much does Kling 2.6 cost?
It renders at 1080p for 8 credits per second without audio and 16 with native audio. A 5-second silent clip costs 40 credits, roughly $0.54 on the Pro plan, and a 10-second clip with sound is 160 credits. Credits are only deducted when a render starts, and failed renders are refunded automatically.
07Is Kling 2.6 still worth using in 2026?
Yes, for two jobs. Silent 1080p clips cost 8 credits per second (Kling 2.5 Turbo at 1080p: 6), and unlike 2.5 Turbo it can add sound. It is also the budget way to run motion control. For multi-shot scenes, longer clips, 4K or multilingual dialogue, Kling 3.0 is the better tool, so draft on 2.6 and re-render the keepers on 3.0.
08Who runs this generator?
PictureToVideo, an independent site with no affiliation to Kling AI or Kuaishou. We call the model via API and sell access by the second, so you don’t need a Kling membership; the same balance also runs Veo 3.1, Wan 2.5, Hailuo 02 and Grok Imagine. Billing, refunds and support are handled by us; Kling’s own app and its pricing are separate.
