Kling O1: specs, status & alternatives

Kling O1 (often typed “Kling 01”) is Kling AI’s first unified multimodal video model, launched on December 1, 2025: give it reference images or an existing clip plus a text instruction, and it generates or edits the shot, without native audio. Kling O1 is not available on PictureToVideo yet. For a start and an end frame, use Studio (Kling 3.0) in the generator here; to keep the people from your photos consistent in a scene, use Reference Studio (Kling 3.0 Omni) in our effect templates.

03Instruction edits

Edit a shot with one sentence

Half of what O1 does is editing: give it an existing clip and a plain-language instruction, and it changes only what you asked for. Drag across the example to compare the original with the edit. Video edits like this are not available on PictureToVideo.

  • Add or remove objectsClear a passer-by out of frame or put a coffee cup on the table.
  • Background and styleReplace the location behind your subject, or restyle the whole shot as a painting or an animation.

Kling O1 cost, next to what runs today

Kling O1 has no audio tier, so its price depends only on resolution. It is not available here yet: its rate is provisional and marked “launch price”. Kling 3.0 and 3.0 Omni are live, and failed renders are refunded automatically.

06Use cases

What Kling 01 is built for

Typed as Kling 01 or Kling O1, it is the same model, and these are the jobs it was designed for.
Recurring characters
Series

Recurring characters

Keep one character’s face and outfit across a run of shots for a short series, an explainer or a storyboard.

Product consistency
E-commerce

Product consistency

Feed packshots from several angles so the shape, colour and finish survive every camera move.

Storyboard to shot
Pre-viz

Storyboard to shot

Turn a sketch frame plus a location photo into a moving shot that matches your boards.

Fixes without a reshoot
Edits

Fixes without a reshoot

Change the weather, a jacket or a background with one instruction instead of shooting again.

07Prompt patterns

O1 prompt patterns that hold

Lead with the subject

Open with @Image1 does something. The first reference is also the start frame, so put your character there and the location or props after it.

One job per reference

Each image should answer one question: who, what they wear, or where they are. A photo that mixes a person, a product and a busy background gives O1 three things to match at once.

Keep the action simple

Reference matching is what O1 is for. A walk, a turn and a slow camera move suit it well; when the shot needs fast action or several cuts, Kling 3.0 is the better fit.

Plan the sound separately

O1 renders silent video. Add music and effects in your editor, or render on Kling 2.6 or 3.0 with native audio if the shot doesn’t depend on references.

FAQ

Kling O1 FAQ

Still curious? Email support@picturetovideo.org — a human replies within a day.

01Is there a Kling O1 AI video generator on PictureToVideo?
Not yet. Kling O1 is listed here as coming soon and can’t be rendered. For a start and an end frame, use Studio (Kling 3.0) in the generator on this page, from 10 credits per second. To keep the people from your photos consistent in a scene, use Reference Studio (Kling 3.0 Omni) through our effect templates, such as Hotel Lobby.
02What is the difference between Kling O1 and Kling 3.0 Omni?
Kling 3.0 Omni, which many sites call O3, is the successor to O1 and was released on February 5, 2026. It adds longer clips (up to 15 seconds instead of 10), 4K output, multi-shot prompts and optional native audio, and it can bind a voice to a character. O1 remains the simpler, silent option at 720p or 1080p. On PictureToVideo, 3.0 Omni runs our effect templates; O1 is not available yet.
03Does Kling O1 make sound?
No. It renders silent video only and has no option to generate sound. If your shot needs dialogue, effects or ambience, add them in an editor afterwards or render on a model with native audio, such as Kling 2.6 or 3.0. Kling 3.0 Omni, the newer reference model, also offers optional audio.
04How long can a Kling O1 video be?
It generates clips from 3 to 10 seconds, in whole seconds, for both image-to-video and reference-to-video. Edited videos follow the length of the clip you supply. Kling 3.0 goes up to 15 seconds in a single generation.
05What can I edit with Kling O1?
O1 edits existing footage from a plain-language instruction: change the weather or time of day, recolour or swap clothing, add or remove objects, replace the background or restyle the shot. Anything you don’t mention is meant to stay as it was. These video edits are not available on PictureToVideo.
06How much does Kling O1 cost?
Kling’s own API lists $0.084 per second at 720p and $0.112 at 1080p, and more for edits that take a video as input. Kling O1 isn’t available on PictureToVideo yet; if we switch it on, the provisional rate is 12 credits per second at 720p and 16 at 1080p. Kling 3.0, which runs here today, starts at 10 credits per second.
07How many reference images can Kling O1 use?
Up to seven inputs per shot, counting reference images, elements and the start frame together, each named in the prompt by its number. For a consistent character, two clear angles of the same person are a better start than seven loosely related pictures.
08Is it Kling O1 or Kling 01?
Kling O1, with the letter O, which stands for Omni: it was the first of the Kling Omni models, followed by Kling 3.0 Omni. “Kling 01” with a zero is a very common typo for the same model, so either spelling brings you here. It is not the same thing as Kling 1.0, the original model Kling AI launched in June 2024.
09Is PictureToVideo part of Kuaishou or Kling AI?
No. PictureToVideo is an independent, unofficial site. We run Kling models via API and charge per generated second, so you don’t need a Kling account or membership; Kling O1 is not available here yet. The same credits run Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Wan 2.5, Hailuo 02 and Grok Imagine. Kling AI and Kuaishou are not responsible for this site; our prices, credits and support are entirely our own.
